Our Staff
Nathan "Master" Morgan

Nathan is the owner and head instructor at Burns’ Tae Kwon Do. Nathan began studying Tae Kwon Do over 20 years ago and began teaching as an assistant instructor to the school’s former head instructor, Dave Burns. Nathan currently holds a 4th-degree black belt and teaches all levels of classes and handles the administrative operations at Burns’ Tae Kwon Do.

Erik “Mr.” Herrold

Erik , Martial Arts & FAST Instructor, is a second-degree black belt. He teaches the adults Intensive Training course and the FAST workshops. Erik has been involved with Tae Kwon Do since elementary school, he enjoys teaching the philosophy as well as the mental and physical skills of the martial art to his students.

Bruce “A.” Fisher
 

Bruce is a master instructor at Burns’ Tae Kwon Do. Bruce has over 19 years experience with Tae Kwon Do and nine years of teaching experience. He enjoys the martial arts world because of the people involved with it. Martial arts students are people of all ages and backgrounds who enjoy a special camaraderie that is hard to find anywhere else.

Patrick “Q-Tip” Ritter
 

Patrick is an instructor at Burns’ Tae Kwon Do. He has been studying Tae Kwon Do for more than nine years and holds a second-degree black belt. He is particularly fond of Q-Tip Sparring during classes.

Favorite Quote: “Pain don’t hurt.”

   

Tim “Mr. Giant” Hoot

Tim is a Dragons and FAST Defense instructor at the school. Tim began studying Tae Kwon Do over 20 years ago and holds a first-degree black belt. He enjoys working with the Dragons class, giving the students an important foundation in martial arts training.

Betsy "I like pink!" Womer
 

Betsy is an assistant instructor and F.A.S.T. instructor at Burns' Tae Kwon Do. She earned her first level black belt in 2004 and began teaching at the green belt level. Betsy works at Styles Unlimited in Selinsgrove as a hairstylist and owns several rental properties with her husband. She loves the people at Burns' because they are like a second family to her. Betsy appreciates how everyone works together to create a great atmosphere to learn in.

Fun Fact: Betsy and her husband have a 1-year-old black and white long haired cat named Baby and some fish.

   

Karen John
 

Karen John is a Fun Intensive Training fitness instructor at Burns Tae Kwon Do. Karen earned a bachelor's degree in German from Lycoming
College and has been certified by the American Council on Exercise for 10 years as a group fitness instructor. She lives in Winfield with her husband and three children. Her son holds a black belt and she and her two daughters are studying to earn their black belts. Karen's favorite thing about the school is the positive atmosphere and the great
instructors!

   

Jill Vega
 

Jill Vega is a fitness instructor for kickboxing, a FAST instructor, and an assistant Tae Kwon Do instructor at the school. She earned a Liberal Arts degree with a minor in Dance from Allentown College of St. Francis de Salles. Jill lives in Selinsgrove with her husband Jose and their two sons, Nicholas and Andre, both of whom are also Tae Kwon Do students at the school. Jill enjoys the high energy and positive attitudes of the students and staff at Burns Tae Kwon Do.

   

Julie "Yogi" Korbar

Julie is the school's yoga instructor. Julie graduated from Mansfield University with a degree in Journalism. She currently works full-time for a marketing and design agency. Julie enjoys working with the students at Burns' Tae Kwon Do because of their energy and enthusiasm for trying new things.

Fun Fact: Julie lives in Kantz with her husband, their overly friendly rotweiller, and four cats.
